Peyton briefed the board on maintenance and equipment issues: Parker completed HVAC repairs at Rendon Vale and other sites, filters were replaced, and several transcoders that had failed were replaced and are now operating. Peyton said some transcoders failed while staff were out of town but that the issues were not network-related and were resolved by hardware replacement.
On replacements, Peyton said he has started collecting price estimates from vendors (including a contact described as "Tom Comark/Hitachi Comark" and Anywave) and will present those numbers at the next meeting. He noted some LARCAN equipment can be retuned but the district lacks certain low-band spare transmitters and that Hitachi/Comark quotes appeared expensive.
