Geneva County proclaims Nov. 22-28 as Farm City Week; banquet Nov. 21 announced

The Geneva County Commission on Nov. 13 proclaimed the week of Nov. 22-28, 2024 as Farm City Week after a presentation by Mrs. Nikki Dyess of the Farm City Committee.
Chairman Toby Seay read the proclamation formally "proclaiming the week of November 22 - 28, 2024 as Farm City Week." Commissioner Weston Spivey moved to approve the proclamation; Commissioner Jeff Hatcher seconded and the vote was 4-0. Mrs. Dyess reminded the commission the Farm City banquet will be held Nov. 21 at Ketchum's Restaurant in Hartford at 5:30 p.m. and said the committee has created a Farm City Youth Council of 17 representatives drawn from Career Tech Service Organizations and student governments across Geneva County.
