Commission reviews multiple county road sites, methane project area and inspects fairgrounds chip seal work

Commissioner Everett L. Wolfe reported that he and Road and Bridge Foreman Mike Reasoner traveled Tuesday to inspect multiple county road locations, including 1525 Road, the Montevallo bridge, Veteran Road, 2175 Road, a low-water crossing at Whipshaw Road, 1375 Road, 1575 Road and Wooden Road. Wolfe noted they also reviewed the area affected by a methane project.
Separately, the commission visited Vernon County Fairgrounds to check roads that were being chip-and-sealed by Center Township and inspected a used generator at the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office. The minutes record the inspections and the contractor (Center Township) conducting chip seal work; no repair schedules or cost estimates are recorded.
