On parade safety, Brian said additional barriers and security made this year's parade “the safest and most successful” in recent years, and he acknowledged complaints that barriers affected enjoyment but defended them as necessary for public safety. He told council the total event cost — including Friday and Saturday activities and the parade — was about $114,000, with roughly $6,000–$6,500 in cash expenses and close to $20,000 of in-kind sponsorships (notably $14,000 of donated bounce-house equipment).
Council thanked staff for the coordination and praised the parade's safety record. "It really turned out really, really nice," one council member said. Staff said they will continue conversations with the chamber about how to run Fundays in 2026.
