Hunton described a large ongoing project to implement text‑to‑911, noting staff have drafted policy and procedure and plan to pair implementation with an informational video for the public.
Staff also reported equipment quotes: a radio console quote from Tate for $605,828.30 and two master‑clock quotes (one at $3,490 without installation, another at $6,870), with Motorola’s console quote still pending. Board members discussed the potential to include major recurring or capital items in the five‑year master plan.
