The Elko County Enhanced 911 Board approved a recommendation to expend $10,777 from the E911 fund for Exacom maintenance and support. Board members moved and seconded the motion; after no discussion and no public comment the motion carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Kerry Hunton described Exacom as the logging recorder that "captures all of our telephone and radio recordings that come into the center" and explained the CARE (maintenance) agreement is part of the device warranty and support. Board members confirmed the quoted annual cost and discussed whether redundancy (a second recorder) was included; staff clarified the quoted agreement covers the on‑site device and an associated cloud piece but does not include a separate redundant physical recorder.
