The Gooding County Planning & Zoning Commission met Jan. 20, 2026 and took the following actions: staff reports and agency comments on a CAFO modification were incorporated into the record and the public hearing closed at 6:29 p.m.; the commission then unanimously voted to table CAFO Permit G18-126 pending review of historical modification approvals and the ordinance under which it was established. The motion to table was made by Commissioner Daret Lamm and seconded by Commissioner Johnscott Cutler.
The commission also approved the minutes for its Dec. 9, 2025 meeting (mover: Terry Behunin; second: Johnscott Cutler) by unanimous vote. During new business, Compliance Officer Cynthia Scott reviewed a Special Use Permit application by Northstar for a three-cabin rental/personal-use community; no vote on that permit is recorded in the minutes. The meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
