Renovation work at Geneva County Courthouse and Farm Center reported nearly complete

County staff reported the Farm Center renovation is about 90% complete and on schedule, and courthouse restroom, plumbing and HVAC work remains with a target completion date of Jan. 4, 2024; the next OAC meeting is scheduled Nov. 14 at the Farm Center.
County staff told the Commission that the Farm Center renovation is approximately 90% complete and should be substantially finished in the coming weeks, with the primary remaining work consisting of roll-up doors and standard punch-list items. The county reported the courthouse renovations are focused on plumbing and HVAC work and the public restrooms in the main hallway remain closed until work is finished.
Chairman Toby Seay noted the project remains on schedule for the stated deadline and reminded commissioners that next Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meeting will be at the Farm Center on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 10:00 a.m. No extensions to the contractor's timeline have been requested so far.
