VISD audit finds one corrective action on intruder detection; district to submit plan to TEA

At the May 21 board meeting, Sherry Hathaway delivered the district—s intruder detection audit update, saying the program of audits for the year is complete and that only one campus required corrective action.
Hathaway said she presented to the campus, the staff implemented corrective steps, and the corrective action plan will be submitted to the Texas Education Agency. "We have done audits since that last audit, and there have not been any doors that have been found unlocked or unsecured on that campus whatsoever," Hathaway said. Board members thanked Hathaway and asked no further questions during the public portion. Administration said this will be Hathaway—s last report on these audits for the year.
