House advances multiple education measures on code of ethics, safety and remote participation

Chairman White (speaker 34) presented a package of education measures that the House considered on third reading. "This particular bill was brought to me by the State Board of Education... it updates Title 49 ... and teacher code of ethics regarding prohibited behavior between a teacher and a student," Chairman White said on the floor. Representative Johnson offered amendments seeking to extend protections to voucher‑funded private schools; those consideration motions failed under rule thresholds. Committee amendments were adopted as noted in the transcript and the clerk recorded passage on several items, including a Senate substitute recorded as receiving the constitutional majority for Senate Bill 21‑06.
