Clifton Daniel explained his company has grown from three to 26 employees and needs a larger fenced site for reels, vehicles and equipment; he said the operation would be primarily morning dispatch and evening return with limited on-site activity during the workday.
Neighbors asked about site maintenance and fencing; Daniel said the company plans to repair fencing, maintain grounds and provide a contact number on the gate. A commissioner said the property was tailor-made for the applicant's needs and a motion to recommend approval passed. The commission also discussed and voted to support a county code update that would add a definition for "contractors equipment storage yard," allowing the use by right in business and industrial zones and by special use in agricultural zones; that proposal will be advertised to the Board of Supervisors for a public hearing.
