Staff opened one proposal in response to RFP 1274-25 for lease of county property and identified the respondent as DuoEdge AI Inc. The court entered executive session to discuss negotiations and returned with a motion to award the lease to DuoEdge; the motion passed 5-0. "The respondent is Duo Duo's Edge AI Inc.," Allison said while opening the packet.
DuoEdge's representative (Dave) asked whether the court would authorize temporary on-site storage of one Edge data center module until final installation and crane availability; he noted permit timing and crane availability issues in Abilene. The court authorized DuoEdge to temporarily store the facility on county property for up to 30 days and directed the county judge to execute a letter of intent, with the company agreeing to remove the unit and pay one month's rent if lease terms are not finalized.
