Commissioners extend ARPA administrative services through February to close out projects

The Potter County Commissioners Court voted Dec. 8 to continue the county's SLFRF administrative services contract for an additional term through February to provide time to finalize open ARPA (SLFRF) projects and assist with closeouts.
John Keeler, the contract administrator overseeing multiple ARPA‑funded projects, told commissioners that many subscriptions and services funded with SLFRF must be performed by 12/31/2026 and will require prorating if invoiced for a full 12 months. He reviewed open projects — including a booking room renovation, the Santa Fe chiller replacement, dispatch center improvements and Jim Line Road change orders — and said some items can be closed as costs hit FY‑26. Keeler told the court the extension would be covered by the county’s SLFRF funds.
Commissioner discussion centered on timing; several commissioners recommended ending services in late February. A motion was made to continue John Keeler’s services through February; the motion carried unanimously.
