"I am requesting...82,436.03...to do the digitization," she said; the court approved motions to move the funds. Sarah said the indexing and scanning will make documents available online and reduce in‑office retrieval requests.
Separately, the County Judge reported an existing mold problem in the basement under the clerk's office. The judge said the leak that caused the patch has been fixed but the fuzzy mold remains and the court will likely contract a specialist for remediation and sanitization of affected records. The court directed staff to plan remediation and to return with cost estimates and remediation options.
