Commissioners approve 2025 schedules, accept award and authorize E-911 RFP publication

The Putnam County commissioners approved several administrative items on Oct. 7, including the 2025 payroll schedule, 2025 meeting dates and 2025 claim dates by unanimous motions.
Lisa Zeiner announced the Association of Indiana Counties gave Putnam County the Local Government Cooperation Award for the county’s Comprehensive Plan. County Assessor Don Badolato said he will purchase land software from WTH and noted the office is assuming additional land responsibilities following Robbie’s retirement.
On an emergency-communications item, David Costin said the consultant hired to study the E-911 radio simulcast system requested permission to publish an RFP; the commissioners authorized publication. The board did not discuss contract terms or the consultant’s identity in detail during the public session.
