Vickie Patterson presented a restructuring plan for the Title IV‑D office on Oct. 21 after two case workers told the office they will leave at the end of the month. Patterson asked to reinstate a secretary position that had been eliminated years earlier and to hire a single replacement case worker instead of two.
Patterson told the board the drop in casework was linked to a federal change that eliminated the requirement that her office process Medicaid‑related cases. Commissioner David Berry moved to approve the restructuring; Tom Helmer seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The minutes do not specify salary or effective hire dates; personnel actions will follow standard county hiring procedures.
