Teresa Parrish of Adult Probation told commissioners the office carpet is old, has been soiled several times and that "this last leak has caused a smell issue," and presented quotes for carpet squares. Commissioners discussed subfloor concerns and cleaning attempts; Parrish said the carpet had not been cleaned before the latest leak was identified.
Commissioner Rick Woodall moved to award the work to Hicks & Sons with payment from the Cumulative Courthouse fund; Commissioner Tom Helmer seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The board did not record further conditions about subfloor remediation beyond the allowance for potential subfloor work in the quotes.
