Highway engineer details paving, INDOT contract and upcoming SR 236 closure Sept. 19

He also said the county has an INDOT contract for $117,000 and is processing a damage estimate for CR 600 N and CR 900 E to submit to INDOT.
Peck said a US 231 & SR 236 ULD agreement will require a 120-day closure in spring 2025, and that an SR 236 culvert replacement is set to begin Sept. 19 with an anticipated 21-day closure. When an audience member asked why Bridge 288 is closed, Peck explained that inspections occur every four years and the structure had "critical findings." No motions were recorded for these highway items; they were provided as operational updates.
