Highway engineer lists road and bridge projects; INDOT to meet on damaged county roads

Putnam County Highway Engineer Jim Peck reported progress and upcoming work, including completion of County Roads 800 N and 1000 N, paving 2.5 miles of County Road 1200 N, work on Co Rd 775 E from US 36 to Co Rd 500 N, a traffic sign inventory on Manhattan Road with a revised USI Consultants contract, and a US 36 bridge replacement due to be completed Aug. 21. He also noted a detour on State Road 236 for bridge and culvert work.
Peck said INDOT will schedule a meeting to discuss damages to County Roads 600 N and 900 E. Commissioner Rick Woodall also reported resident concerns about outside AC units affected by dust and asked staff to investigate potential crop or property damage related to regional conditions.
