Sheriff reports vehicle damage and resignations; treasurer says 66% of taxes paid; county officials note other routine updates

Sheriff Gough reported vehicle and staffing issues, saying he had “two motors blown in the deputies’ vehicles and two deputies have resigned to go to other counties.” Treasurer Wines reported that collections are about normal with 66% paid and staff are working delinquent taxpayers. Assessor Baldwin said he had sent out farm questionnaires and predicted farm values will increase this year. Coroner Curtis reported a new vehicle is on its way and additionally stated that the State has not yet issued the money to the counties for the Emergency Management position. Prosecutor Misseldine reported he has a couple of trials coming up.
