The Gooding County Board of County Commissioners voted Jan. 20 to install and begin monitoring the sprinkler system in the Annex building after a fire inspection found monitoring is now required.
Karl Souza of the county Building and Grounds department told commissioners that, following Fire Chief Bishop’s inspection, the sprinkler system must be monitored now that the Annex is occupied. “Commissioner Eames moved to approve $317.34 for installation and $86.08 per month for the service plan,” the meeting minutes record; Commissioner Ronald Buhler seconded and the motion carried.
Commissioner Vern Eames initiated the motion during the facilities agenda item; county records show the single installation charge of $317.34 and a recurring service-plan cost of $86.08 monthly. No funding source or additional capital-budget action was recorded in the transcript. The board immediately carried the motion and proceeded to other business.
