Board approves two-year renewal of emergency demolition contracts with $850,000 caps

Jacob presented resolution 2026C10016 seeking renewal of two current service agreements for emergency on-call demolition services with Denny Excavating Inc. and Renison Inc. He said both agreements were signed following the 2024 solicitation and recommended two-year renewals beginning Aug. 1, 2026 with no increases to the individual compensation NTEs.
"Each contract was established with contract compensation not to exceed limit of $850,000," Jacob said. He added that DBNS expensed about $375,000 for emergency demolitions in 2025 and had expensed an additional $74,000 so far in 2026. The board moved and approved the renewals by voice vote.
