Jameson told the committee that crews televised cleanouts and corrected several homes with multiple sanitary connections, work the contractor completed at its own expense. He said that if the city severed an existing drain connection during construction staff will provide another connection, but the city will not install a new French drain for a homeowner's preexisting backyard drainage condition that was not caused by the project.
Jameson encouraged residents to report remaining sanitary or drainage issues promptly so crews can assess whether the problem stems from project work (which the city will remedy) or preexisting conditions (which it will not replace with new private drainage systems).
