Members pay tribute to retiring Rep. Jeremy Faison after 16 years of service

Colleagues from across the chamber delivered lengthy tributes to Representative Jeremy Faison as the House adopted a resolution honoring his more than 16 years of service.
Leader Lambert, other caucus leaders and a long roster of members praised Faison’s work as chairman of government operations and as a caucus leader, shared personal anecdotes and thanked his family for their support. "He's made me look at the world in a different way than what I might have otherwise done," one long-time colleague said during floor remarks.
Faison addressed the chamber, reflecting on his roots in East Tennessee, service in the General Assembly and the personal relationships formed in the legislature. Members then joined in the well for a group photograph after adoption of the resolution.
The measure was a ceremonial adoption recognizing Representative Faison’s tenure. No further legislative instructions or appropriations were attached to the resolution.
