Kim V. Leonard elected Permanent Chair as Wayne County Board names officers for 2026

At its Jan. 5 organizational meeting the Wayne County Board of Supervisors elected Kim V. Leonard as Permanent Chair and confirmed a slate of officers, including Clerk Kelley P. Loveless and Budget Officer Mark Humbert. Appointments were carried by roll call with one absence noted.
Kim V. Leonard was elected Permanent Chair of the Wayne County Board of Supervisors for 2026 after a nomination from Supervisor James Brady and a second from Supervisor Dawn Pisciotti. The Clerk announced 196 weighted votes in favor and declared Leonard duly elected.
The Board then confirmed Lynn Chatfield as Vice-Chair. The Board re-elected Kelley P. Loveless as Clerk of the Board and appointed Cadie A. Meehan as Deputy Clerk. Mark Humbert was chosen as Budget Officer and Kristen Scott as Deputy Budget Officer. Scott Johnson was announced as Majority Leader. All appointments were adopted by roll call vote with Supervisor Tommy Mettler recorded absent.
