The Planning Committee approved a set of Parks & Trails resolutions addressing maintenance, operations, and contracts. The committee voted in favor of 2-25-PL-5 to fix the day and notice of a public hearing to make appropriations from the Emerson Park Pavilion Repair Reserve and approved 2-25-PL-7 to implement a County Parks Parking Fee Policy.
Members also approved 2-25-PL-8 authorizing the hiring of seasonal staff for the 2025 Parks season and 2-25-PL-9 authorizing a contract with TruGreen for vegetation control at Emerson Park. Motions were moved and seconded during the meeting and recorded as passing with all in favor. Parks Director Doug Dello Stritto had earlier reviewed multiple Emerson Park capital and design projects including a Deauville Island bridge replacement and HVAC controls for the Pavilion.
