At its Dec. 12, 2024 meeting the Humboldt County Regional Planning Commission approved two parcel-map applications on the consent agenda.
PM-24-13, submitted by Emilio Magana, proposes creating four parcels on W. Rose Creek Road (assessor's parcel number 15-0143-01). County staff (Betty Lawrence) described a recommended condition of approval that access from Rose Creek Road and Airport Road into the development be offered as an easement for dedication to the county rather than maintained as a private access easement. Mr. Magana voiced concerns about the need for roadway improvements.
PM-24-14, submitted by High Desert Engineering as agent for Petersen Ventures, LLC, would create two parcels at 820 E. Winnemucca Boulevard (assessor's parcel number 16-0274-02). Commissioner Brent Lange moved to approve the consent agenda per staff recommendation; Commissioner Justin Rost seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The votes passed with all five commissioners present voting in favor. Staff did not record further conditions beyond the access-easement requirement for PM-24-13 in the meeting transcript; any additional conditions will appear in the formal approval documents.
