The Jackson County Board of Commissioners approved a contract on Sept. 17 for Lynn Montgomery to continue as the part-time Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for 2024–2025.
Health Department staff noted the role is grant-funded through the Indiana Department of Health and that Lynn Montgomery has held the position for many years. Commissioners also noted that a recently hired Public Health Educator will serve as a backup to Montgomery.
Commissioner Matt Reedy moved to approve the contract; Commissioner Bob Gillaspy seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
