Commissioners approve ordinance to vacate two alleys and a 50-foot right-of-way in Dudleytown

Building Commissioner Conner Barnett presented a visual map of Dudleytown’s original late-1800s plat and reported that recent construction — including a building, garage and septic system — encroaches into two 12-foot alleys and a 50-foot undeveloped roadway. Conner told the board that he and Dan Blann, acting for the Harold Goecker Trust, had spoken with adjoining neighbors and that several west-side streets and alleys had already been vacated.
Conner said the Plan Commission had unanimously voted to pass an ordinance to vacate the two alleys and the 50-foot right-of-way. The board approved Ordinance #27-Bill #9; the minutes note the bill will require two readings under the county’s process.
