Surveyor seeks final approval and two-year performance bond for Highlands Subdivision

Jonathan Issacs, representing Independent Land Surveying, told the Jackson County Commissioners that the Highlands Subdivision plat (on a two-mile fringe within the City of Seymour) has been forwarded to the City for primary and secondary approval and that developers have constructed streets except for final surfaces. Issacs asked the commission to accept a two-year performance bond to complete those final surfaces so the county can approve the streets and drainage.
Highway Superintendent Jerry Ault and Building Commissioner Conner Barnett both indicated they were agreeable to the request; Ault is to be provided a copy of the performance bond. The minutes do not record a formal motion to approve the plat or bond during this meeting, only that staff recommended acceptance and that Issacs requested final approval.
