Residents report illegal dumping and HOA dysfunction; county directs complaints to zoning office

Marjorie Vanderpool, a concerned resident, reported ongoing blight and HOA dysfunction in the Grissom/Eagles Pointe area and said dumped household items were accumulating at 1859 Warhawk in Eagles Pointe. Highway staff relayed the complaint and identified the property owner referenced as EP Estate LLC.
County Attorney Mark Frantz responded that enforcement of illegal dumping on private property is handled by the zoning office on the first floor of the courthouse and advised residents to file complaints there. Frantz clarified it is not the Highway Department's obligation to remove illegally dumped items. Vanderpool said residents may pursue legal action to remove or reorganize the HOA governance, per Attorney General guidance; the board did not take immediate enforcement action at the meeting.
