Allen County OKs temporary salary to recruit IT director ahead of June retirement

Ed Steenman, Director of Technology, told the council he plans to retire at the end of June and requested a temporary training salary ordinance so the county can recruit and compensate his successor. Steenman said the county has interviewed candidates and will make an offer once the ordinance is approved. Councilmember Tom Harris moved the temporary training salary ordinance and members approved it without opposition.
