Council approves $2.642 million award for recreation and fitness center Phase 2

Council approved the award after discussion of contingency funding and project scope; staff said a supplemental $400,000 contingency was budgeted for the next fiscal year but was not required to proceed immediately. Work will proceed under the city manager’s authority and with project oversight by the parks and facilities team.
