The Martin County Commissioners Court completed several organizational actions on Jan. 13. Commissioner Kenny Stewart moved, with Commissioner Brian Snellgrove seconding, to elect Commissioner Koy Blocker as Presiding Officer Pro Tem for 2026; the motion passed 3-0. The court also voted to set county and justice court terms the same as the prior year and to place county officials on a bi-weekly pay period, with recorded votes in the minutes for each action.
Agenda item #12, selection of a Salary Grievance Committee, was presented but no action was taken. These procedural items were recorded as routine organizational business in the minutes and will be part of the official record when the minutes are approved on Jan. 27, 2026.
