The Commissioners Court approved the selection of public members to serve on the Salary Grievance Committee, as provided by Local Government Code Sec. 152, which hears grievances over salaries established for elected officials.
April McFarlen, Chief Deputy County Clerk, and County Attorney Eddie Arredondo addressed the court. Commissioner Jim Luther Jr. moved to approve the slate: six public members and three selected committee members listed by name in the motion; the three chosen regular members named in the motion are Raymond Feeley, Julio Pera and Steven Zbranek. The motion also identified 12 alternates by name. The court voted unanimously (5–0) to approve the appointments.
The appointments fill a procedural requirement in advance of FY27 budget and elected-official salary considerations; the committee membership and alternates were recorded in the official minutes and attachments.
