Developer withdraws rezoning request for proposed industrial park on Candler Road

The Planning Commission received and approved an applicant’s request on Jan. 21, 2025, to withdraw a rezoning application for a 59.62± acre tract at 0 & 2010 Candler Road. The item had proposed rezoning from Heavy Industrial (I-II) to Planned Industrial Development (PID) within the Gateway Corridors Overlay District to allow an industrial park, and the majority of the parcel is wooded with streams and portions in the County studied flood zone.
Planning staff stated the applicant wished to withdraw; the commission granted the request by a 4-0 vote. No further action was taken and the item will not proceed unless refiled by the applicant.
