The Union County Development Authority entered an executive session Jan. 12 to discuss pricing and selling property and returned to open session at 5:25 p.m. Following the executive session, the board took a formal vote to extend covenants for two parcels at the Blairsville Airport Regional Industrial Park.
Ivan Walker moved "to extend the covenants and restrictions deadline for an additional four months on parcels numbered 071 174 B01 and 071 174 B02 for Advanced Digital Cable as related to work being started within two years of the purchase of property within the Blairsville Airport Regional Industrial Park." Shawna Harkins seconded the motion; the board voted "all in favor" and the motion carried.
Other formal actions that evening included unanimous approval of the Dec. 8, 2025 minutes (motion by Rhonda Mahan; second, Ivan Walker) and the recorded votes to enter and exit executive session. The meeting adjourned at 5:28 p.m. after the final motions.
The extension allows Advanced Digital Cable additional time to meet the covenants' deadline tied to starting work on the parcels; no further conditions or amendments were recorded in the public minutes.
