Planning director outlines training, zoning reviews and Lincoln Estate follow-up

Brand said the Northeast Ohio Planning and Zoning Training is scheduled for August 28 at Geneva Lodge and that the department is still determining workshop topics. He also said staff will review Dorset Township's zoning text and is working on county zoning text changes related to wind and solar as addressed by Senate Bill 52. Brand reported a Lincoln Estate follow-up scheduled for May 19 because the previously granted preliminary plat approval expired after six months; the applicant must re-submit a new preliminary plan.
The commission did not take formal action on these items at the April 29 meeting; Brand's report served as departmental information and scheduling guidance for upcoming hearings and staff work.
