County to host regional planning and zoning workshop at Geneva Lodge this August, staff says

Director Jake Brand told the Planning Commission on Feb. 25, 2026, that Ashtabula County will host the region’s planning and zoning workshop this year and that staff had been considering venues including Geneva Lodge, Riverbend Hotel, Briquette’s, and the Green Leaf Center. "Ashtabula County will host the planning and zoning workshop at the Geneva Lodge at the end of August," Brand said, but he clarified there is no exact date yet.
Brand said he had spoken with Mr. Ridachi, the Lake County planning director, as part of organizing the event and that county staff would follow up with venue logistics once a date is set. The commission did not take formal action; the announcement was recorded as the Director’s Report.
