Commissioners hear construction budget update for law enforcement center and library

County leadership provided an informational update on construction-related budget items for the law enforcement center and library. County Judge Randy Johnson told the court the county received a guaranteed maximum price from the contractor and, as reflected in the packet, "we should get even a little bit of money back" as retainage is resolved.

The judge said invoices and retainage remain but that the architect and construction manager have largely fulfilled obligations; the update was presented as information and did not require additional action. Commissioners asked clarifying questions about which funds and project codes cover the architecture and construction line items; the judge identified fund references in the packet.
