County staff presented RFP No. 26‑4090‑09 and recommended selecting TAC to provide employee health and benefits coverage for 2026–2027. Mark McDonald and County Auditor Kelley Glaeser spoke on the renewal packet and plan details. The court approved the selection and authorized executing the renewal documents; the estimated premium shown in the packet is $5,212,622.16 and staff was directed to use that figure for FY27 budget planning (motion by Joe Don Dockery; seconded by Chad Collier). Vote: 5–0.
The packet includes plan and rate details (medical, dental, vision tiers and employer/employee contribution guidance) that the County will use to model FY27 costs. The auditors and HR director will finalize contribution schedules and return with formal budget figures during the scheduled budget workshops.
