After adopting the initial declaration, the court approved a motion by Commissioner Joe Don Dockery, seconded by Commissioner Damon Beierle, to extend the declaration for 90 days; the vote was 5–0. The extension directs county departments to track all screwworm‑related expenses and time for reporting to the Burnet County Auditor’s Office and requests that the governor suspend any rules that would hinder emergency response under statutory authorities cited in the declaration.
