Tioga County Salary Board creates multiple DHS positions and increases hours for Domestic Relations staff

The Tioga County Salary Board met after the commissioners’ session and unanimously approved the creation of new positions for the Department of Human Services intended to support ACE and family‑finding work. The positions approved were: 1 ACE Supervisor; 2 ACE Coordinators; 1 ACE Caseworker; 2 Visitation Assistants (Aides); 1 Family Finding Supervisor; 1 Family Finding Caseworker 1; and 1 Family Support Provider/Caseworker. Commissioner Marc Rice moved the request and the board voted 4–0 to approve.
The board also approved changing weekly hours for three Judicial Line Staff in the Domestic Relations Office from 37.5 to 40 hours, retroactive to Jan. 26, 2026; the additional cost will be funded by the Domestic Relations Office (DRO). The Salary Board adjourned at 10:42 a.m.
