The Tioga County Salary Board met on Jan. 5, 2026, and reinstated a second Clerk position in the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts Office at $16.00 per hour with benefits, effective Jan. 5, 2026. The motion to reinstate the position was made by Kera Hackett, seconded by Shane Nickerson, and carried unanimously.
The board also voted to set salaries for staff in Probation, Domestic Relations, court staff and District Justice court staff (motion by Judge George Wheeler), the Sheriff’s Office (motion by Frank Levindoski), the District Attorney’s office (motion by Sam VanLoon), the Prothonotary/Clerk of Courts Office (motion by Heather Lundgren), Register & Recorder and Clerk of Orphans Court (motion by Keriane Chaborek), and the Treasurer's office (motion by Kera Hackett).
