Commissioners approved hiring Lindsey Chambers as Drug & Alcohol Assistant Administrator at $70,000 per year with benefits, effective March 23, 2026, and Kayla Hurler as Caseworker 1 in Family Services at $21.06 per hour with benefits, effective March 9, 2026.
The board also approved part‑time on‑call Corrections Officer hires for Susan Blackwell and Adelaide Newman at $18.00 per hour (no benefits), effective February 13, 2026; accepted the resignation of Brock Sackett from the Soil Conservation District effective March 13, 2026; and noted the retirement of Maintenance Director Fred Gorg effective May 1, 2026. Commissioner Sam VanLoon made the motion to hire Chambers, which carried on a 3–0 vote. The board converted Madeline Capaldo from an intern to a full‑time Conservation Stewardship Technician (Soil Conservation District) at $20.00 per hour with benefits, effective March 9, 2026.
