Commission to research whether Pine Street historic district boundary excludes north side

Design Review Commission member Judy Hayward reported that, despite intentions during a 2014 National Register expansion, the design review boundary may not have been updated to include the north side of Pine Street. "The design review boundary might not have been extended to include the north side of Pine Street despite intentions during the National Register expansion in 2014," Hayward said, and members agreed to research records and consult state officials for clarification.
Action items assigned Hayward to contact Elizabeth Peebles, the new state architectural historian, and asked Hayward and member Henry Duffy to review existing documents and descriptions to confirm the district’s boundaries. The commission did not adopt a boundary change at the meeting; members framed the item as an information and research task to return with documentation at a future meeting.
