District Court clerk requests $6,374 for courtroom blinds, seeks rollover funds

District Court Clerk Amy Entriken told the commissioners Jan. 5 that she received a final quote of $6,374.06 from Budget Blinds to install blinds in courtrooms and a bathroom.
Entriken said the blinds would come out of her capital outlay account and the law library’s recording system money; she asked that part of the 2025 budget rollover be reallocated to cover the purchase. Commissioner Keith Kelly said he wants to encourage savings but acknowledged limits on rollover transfers.
No formal vote on the purchase was recorded at the meeting; Entriken’s request was placed on the record for future action.
