Community development updates: bathroom repair bid, tourism grant application and barn removal invoice

Elk County Community Development reported a $2,000 bid to repair a bathroom at 300 N. Plum, said staff will apply for the Kansas Tourism Grant and noted the barn removal invoice for 1285 Evergreen has been received and will be paid on the next bill cycle.
Community Development staff member Diane Cucar updated the board on building repairs, grant activity and property work. Cucar said she received a $2,000 bid to repair a bathroom at 300 N. Plum and that she plans to apply for the Kansas Tourism Grant; she also said she will meet with the 4-County group on Friday.
Cucar also reported that the invoice for barn removal at 1285 Evergreen has been received and will be paid on the next bill cycle. County Counselor Paul Dean told the board the county is still waiting on the deed for 1285 Evergreen and that he will check on the deed status.
