Noxious weed crews plan daily spraying and staff to attend certification conference, county says

Kevin Peroutek, who serves as both Noxious Weed Director and Emergency Preparedness Director for Jewell County, told the board his crews are attempting to apply "one load of spray out every morning when it is not raining for bindweed and thistles." He said David Gagne has been marking Johnson Grass and that he and Gagne will attend a summer conference in Newton; the conference hours will count toward continuing-education certification.
The update was informational. Commissioners received the report and did not vote on additional resources during the session.
