Commissioners hear road repairs, drainage and courthouse threshold repairs

Joel Elkins, the county road superintendent (mentioned in the meeting), reported that road crews are repairing storm-related road damage and that he will inspect where water ran over a road following recent rain. Elkins told the commissioners he will check locations reported during the meeting, including a request to inspect the section of 40 Road north of S Road near the Esbon City well.

Chris Petet, the county custodian, said he had contacted Jackson Glass Shop for a quote to repair thresholds on the courthouse front doors. Vincent Urbaniak reported flooding in the ambulance office and asked whether the road department could dig a ditch on the east side of the building to funnel runoff; commissioners asked Joel Elkins to review the drainage request.
